Dui bu qi, wo bu hui jiang zhong wen

(Sorry, I don't speak Chinese)

In six days, 25 fellow bachelors students and I will be flying to China to experience all that it has to offer, through the hands of Chef Shirley Cheng, a Sichuan native. Over the course of three weeks, we will be traveling throughout China to rice liquor factories, panda reserves, street food alleys, and tea plantations to harvest/package our own tea, among many other things we would never get to do were it not for the very talented Chinese woman guiding us around.
We are all trying to learn the basics before we go, where is the bathroom, I don't speak Chinese, please and thank you, and also the more likely needed, beer, beef noodle soup, pot sticker, etc, and to pack and get used to the idea that we're about to embark on a trip that crosses the international dateline. It's a little nerve wracking, but also incredible, so everyone is awfully excited.
As one of the "diary" writers for the trip, I'll be using this blog to record my daily experiences so I've got things to put together for my entries, and also to communicate with friends because facebook is... sort of totally illegal in China. Anyhoo, lots of pictures and daily fun stuff to come, just give it a few days ;)
